Brian has been working about 70 or 80 hours a week for the past several weeks, so I haven't seen him much lately. This past Saturday night he was finally off of work so we took advantage of an evening together and decided to go on a date. It was a wonderful evening. We dropped Benjamin off at his grandma and grandpa's house when he got up from a nap and then we headed to Rogers. We had heard that Linens N Things was going out of business and wanted to check it out to see if there was anything we needed to buy someone for Christmas. Well, we ended up leaving the store empty handed. We went to a few other stores to just look around and then headed over to the Promenade. We had decided earlier in the week to eat dinner at P.F. Changs since Brian was craving Chinese food and he had never been there. There was an hour and 15 min. wait but we decided to wait anyway since the pagers work throughout the mall. So, we walked around for a little bit and enjoyed looking at all of the pretty Christmas lights and decorations at the Promenade. We finally got our table and just enjoyed some nice chinese food and great conversation.
After dinner, we both just felt like relaxing so we decided to stop at walmart and get a couple of movies from redbox and some cheesecake. Then we went home, got into our jammies, laid on the couch and watched movies while we ate our cheesecake.
We let Benjamin spend the night at his grandparents house so that we could just have a whole evening to ourselves. It was great to be together without the responsibilities of parenthood but I missed the little guy in the morning.
It was such a great night!
